Hotel programmes are repeat business with no tolerance for drift. The towel approved in year one has to be the towel that arrives in year four — same weight, same white, same hand. That is a records problem as much as a weaving one, and it is why the approved dip stays on file.
A hotel towel is washed hot, tumble dried and machine folded, over and over. Hems and corners are stitched to take it — reinforced where industrial laundering pulls a towel apart first — so a programme stays in service rather than going to the reject pile.
Pool towels live in chlorinated water and are laundered hot, often daily. They are tested for both — colourfastness to pool water, and to high-temperature washing — so a coloured pool towel is still the colour you ordered at the end of the season.
A spa towel is judged by the hand first. Zero-twist and heavier constructions give a softer, loftier towel, developed in the studio like any retail design — then made to survive the same commercial laundry as the rest of the programme.
Your approved dip is kept and every repeat is measured against it, not against the last lot. Drift compounds when each run is matched to the one before.
